Plan Commission
The Plan Commission of the Village of North Barrington advises the President & Board of Trustees regarding proposed subdivisions, annexations, and proposed plats of survey to ensure the conformance with the goals and objectives of the Village. The Plan Commission meets the second Monday of the month at 7:30 p.m. in the lower level meeting room at the Village Hall.

Zoning Board of Appeals
The Zoning Board of Appeals makes certain determinations and advises the Village Board concerning Zoning Variation and property rezoning. Their regular meeting date is the second Tuesday of the month at 7:30 p.m. in the Village Hall lower level meeting room. By state statute the members of the ZBA serve five-year terms.

Environmental & Health Commission
The Environmental & Health Commission of the Village of North Barrington advises the President & Board of Trustees regarding proposed stormwater and environmental issues to ensure the conformance with the goals and objectives of the Village. The Commission will also advise the Board on health and sanitation matters pursuant to Village code provisions. Health and sanitation and public health matters shall include, but are not limited to, individual sewage treatment systems (septic systems), and other sanitation matters. Meetings will be held on the first Tuesday of the month at 7:30 p.m. in the lower level meeting room.

Finance Committee
The Finance Committee of the Village of North Barrington advises the President & Board of Trustees regarding financial matters, budgets, and investments to ensure the conformance with the goals and objectives of the Village.
The Finance Committee also suggests the Annual Budget.
The Village Investment policy Plan is the written stated goals of the Village, and has been recently revamped and expanded to incorporate the Village's goals.
